As a tech lead, you play a crucial role in the interplay between the project manager and the concept director to transform client requirements into a seamless integrated team process. You will take the client into the world of technology, translate goals into innovative solutions and develop digital strategies to drive long-term plans.

The function

You deal with the broad technical picture, defining the main lines and working out the details, from strategy to approach. You are a point of contact for our client and make connections between the stakeholders and the team. Through your expertise and enthusiasm, you inspire your colleagues and bring them along in your vision.

In our multidisciplinary team, consisting of front- and backend developers, interaction designers, visual designers and game designers, you will work on an extensive project. Besides your opinion on TypeScript and Laravel, we mainly expect your input on issues around Infrastructure, Quality Assurance and Functional Design.

Although writing code is valuable, your strengths lie in maintaining a technical overview and communicating complex concepts clearly. You create support and are able to take on an advisory role, learn about the subject matter and enjoy sparring with other developers and strategists.

Your duties will include:

• Leading the project team technically and estimating the project work
• Further developing the software development processes
• Drawing up Digital Product Strategies
• Translating requirements into functional solutions
• Acting as a technical sparring partner for the customer
• Managing freelancers and suppliers
• Reporting on progress to the project manager.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technology or tools/frameworks, taking into account best practices and emerging trends

Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate is fluent in English and has an affinity for terms such as DevOps, Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes. You have at least 5 years of work experience as a tech lead in large-scale web projects.
