Get to know yourself by making your own ground rules

During the day, all the authentic behavior emerged that we wanted to see

How do you find out somebody's superpowers? How do you get someone to experience what they can do better? You could observe them for a while or have them fill out a questionnaire, of course, but you can also do it with a game! That said, the game has to give us enough space to let us see what is needed!

What is someone's primary leadership style? How can we make someone experience the importance of our core values? These are questions that excite us! To provide the answers to those questions, we need to find out what the undesirable and desirable behaviors are. What leadership styles are there and what behaviors belong to them? What are the core values and how do they translate into behaviors that can be experienced? And how can we then ensure that those behaviors are or are not visible? And how do we do the latter without having players exhibit the desired behavior because of (game) rules?

We do this through Stealth Learning. We give the players a clear game objective and some basic game rules. While playing, the players discover that they have (a lot of) influence on how to reach the game goal faster or better. And that's where the behavior we want to see arises. Will people run, will they deliberate, will they invent new rules? To get such a game right requires us to put all our experience and continuous testing. We like that, and nothing is more fun than players who enjoy showing the desired behavior unasked. From the customer it requires a lot of trust at first, but they also smile when the behavior becomes visible during the continuous testing!
