In the room, you discover clues and memory aids that give an indication of Alzheimer's.

Solution

This second part of the Into D'mentia VR series focuses on "the lost self": you step into the shoes of someone with advanced dementia. As you lose your grip on reality, the people who have to care for you have a hard time getting along. Reality and thoughts intertwine. You experience the struggle and misunderstanding of those around you.

Discover how caregivers and family deal with the situation.

Impact

This VR experience confronts you with your lack of overview and dependence. It helps people empathize with someone with dementia. The effect is better, more personalized care. This experience is also part of trainings for family caregivers or care professionals.
